Roof soft washing in Pine Mountain
black streaks on roof Georgia in Pine Mountain →
Roof soft washing in Pine Mountain, GA is booked for Callaway-side cottages, guest houses, and shaded second homes. Pines and hardwoods feed algae on roofs that do not see full sun.
Those dark streaks on a shaded West Georgia roof are algae, usually Gloeocapsa magma, not dirt. Pressure washing a shingle roof strips granules and shortens the roof. Doing nothing lets the colonies spread down the slope.
Owners are often somewhere else. The house still has to look kept when they drive up. Roof work is a soft wash from the surface or a controlled application from the eaves, depending on pitch and access. The goal is to kill the growth and let it release, not to scour the shingle. Valleys, lower courses, and the north slope get the attention. We do not walk a roof that is too steep or too brittle.
What the visit covers
We do not repair shingles, replace flashing, or wash tile and slate as if they were asphalt. Metal roofs are quoted separately after we see the finish.
