metal roof cleaning soft wash
Metal roofs film up, and they hate a pressure washer
The black film on metal is organic. Pressure dulls the finish and drives water under the laps. We soft wash, and we do not walk a slick slope.
A metal roof can look dirty while it is still perfectly sound. Pollen, algae, and a general film collect, especially where leaves sit. The repair for that look is a soft wash matched to the coating, rinsed, not a turbo nozzle that shines one panel and hazes the next.
Walking metal is how people fall and how coatings get scratched. If the slope or the height says the feet do not belong up there, the lift or an application from the eave is the method. If we cannot reach it safely, we do not invent a way.
Chalking and faded paint are sun, not dirt. We will point at them and leave them. A wash that “brings back the color” on dead paint is usually stripping the last of the finish. That is not a service we sell.
The service this belongs to is Metal roof cleaning.
In the towns we actually drive to
Metal under trees films faster than metal in the open. The finish — painted, galvalume, or old — decides the mix.
