vinyl siding soft wash

Vinyl siding: soft wash, never a close nozzle

Vinyl warps under a hot, close pressure washer and it chalks if you scour it. Organic film comes off with chemistry and a rinse.

Vinyl is a skin. Forcing water under the laps, or parking a turbo nozzle on one panel, warps the panel and drives water into the wall. The green and black on vinyl is almost always organic. Sodium hypochlorite with a surfactant, dwell, and a low-pressure rinse is the method. You will see the film let go. You will not see us “cut” the panel to make it brighter.

Oxidation is the dull, chalky look when you wipe a finger on old vinyl. A wash does not reverse that. Some products claim to. We will not sell a restoration coating as part of a wash, and we will not scrub chalking vinyl into a blotchy patch so one section looks newer than the rest.

Windows and weep holes matter. We do not flood the track. If a panel is already loose or cracked, we work around it and we say so. Replacing siding is not this service.

The service this belongs to is Vinyl siding cleaning.

In the towns we actually drive to

The north wall and the area under trees go green first. The street side in full sun may not need the same attention.
